About

A story that shaped me

On 3 March 1978, I was born in Bangalore, India — and a few months later, adopted to Germany. What looked like a fresh start carried within it an invisible story that was to accompany me throughout my life.

For years, I struggled to say the word "adoption". It sounded foreign. Today I know that my story does not begin with the adoption — it had already begun in the womb.

I live in an Indo-German-French family — this intercultural richness shapes my view of identity and belonging, every single day.

I see in every person an independent, free and valuable individual.

As an adoptee, coach and author, I speak about what many stay silent about: loss, the search, and the deep longing for roots. And what healing can truly look like.

For Adoptees

You sense there is something — a pain without a name, an emptiness that won't be filled.

Here you are safe. Here you are seen. Together we'll go where the answers truly lie.

  • ...of not truly belonging anywhere — neither here nor there?
  • ...that something is missing, but you don't know what?
  • ...of being torn between gratitude and a pain no one sees?
  • ...of being alone with your story?
  • ...of not knowing who to talk to about your adoption — for fear of not being understood?
  • ...of being seen as "foreign" because of your skin colour or origin — even though this is the country you call home?
  • ...of not being good enough — without knowing why?

Then you are in exactly the right place. These are completely natural thoughts and feelings for an adopted person — the invisible traces of adoption that deserve to be named.

Together, we find words for what you have been carrying inside you for so long.

For Adoptive Parents

Love alone is not always enough — because it cannot compensate for the pain of loss that your adopted child carries within.

Your adopted child already had a story before the adoption. An origin that doesn't disappear just because it is unknown.

  • ...of loving your adopted child so much — and yet sometimes not understanding what is going on inside them?
  • ...of wishing to be a completely "normal" family — and at the same time sensing that this isn't quite true?
  • ...of not knowing how to handle your child's past — the physical and emotional imprints that began long before you?
  • ...of not knowing how to approach the topic of biological parents?
  • ...that you too, as an adoptive parent, carry a pain that hasn't yet found its place?

These are completely normal feelings. Your adopted child loves you — and at the same time carries a loss that has nothing to do with you.

I accompany you — authentically, as an adoptee who knows both sides.
